New Series - Longing - Now Available

It is always very exciting (and a bit daunting) as an artist to release a new series with a cohesive theme and showcase this work to the world.

My new series is called Longing, and ties in with our current world situation of being stuck indoors in lockdown, with little knowledge of how long things will continue in this way. It creates a sense of anxiety, but also that deep sense of longing; for normality, for something to look forward to, for social interactions as we once knew them.

Each of these pieces is a small snippet of time, a solitary moment, where we contemplate what might be on the other side of this pandemic. From getting dressed and slipping into something that makes you feel good to sitting on the edge of a table gazing out the window, each of us is longing for better times ahead and hoping that they’ll soon be on the horizon. Click on the images below to see the pieces in the collection.

Two of the paintings, A World of Possibilities and Perfect Day, are part of the the Painter Stainers Exhibition, where £100 from the sale of the painting goes to charity. The rest are for sale on my Shop page.

I have set up a gallery wall to show you what a collection of the paintings, paired with each other or other artworks, might look like in your home.
